One Piece left us on a cliffhanger in the last chapter as we saw Stussy go against her own ally Kaku and she has some devil wings on her back. We learned that she was the world’s first successful clone, but her powers are yet to be revealed as we only got to see her bit Kaku, and he went unconscious after that. Does she hold some other secrets that might become a key to revealing a big mystery? Spoilers for One Piece chapter 1073 are out. Here is everything you need to know about it.
Chapter 1072 Quick Summary
Chapter 1072 was titled “The Weight of Memory“. In this chapter, we learned how Vegapunk describes the power of Kuma as Bonny tries to approach some remainder, he left in the lab of Vegapunk. We also see a one-sided clash between Kaku and Zoro in which Zoro dominates the giraffe-man. We also keep seeing panels of Kuma as he is trying to climb the Red Lien desperately. In the end, we see Kaku faint as Stussy bit him; now, Lucci is next.

Lucci vs Stussy
Chapter starts where last one ended. Lucci attacks Stussy but he misses becouse he’s attacking an illusion.
Stussy uses a variation of Kami-e (Paper Art) technique called “Remaining Body” (or something like that, is “5” in japanese). to weaken Lucci (she
While she distracts Lucci with the illusion, Stussy uses a lipstick with Kairouseki inside uses it to touch Lucci, like Smoker uses his Jitte). Then Stussy bites Lucci and he falls asleep like Kaku.
We discover that mysterious person with whom Vegapunk spoke was Stussy, and that it wasn’t Vegapunk’s intention that she became CPO member. Stussy can’t overwrite Lucci’s order to stop the Seraphim, becouse she’s at the same level than Lucci in the “authority hierarchy”

Just like Kaku, Lucci has also fallen prey to the power of Stussy. We also get information about Stussy’s strength as she uses illusion techniques against Lucci. Her devil fruit, for now, seems like a Zoan type modelled after a bat or some other animal. Intriguingly, she was able to control someone who was somewhat more robust than him.
Seraphim Shenanigans Continues
Lilith and Edison came out of the “Labo”. S-Hawk attacks Lilith before she can give the order to stop, but
Zoro stops it. Zoro fights against S-Hawk during some panels (no new attacks, only one big clash). S-Hawk
is in shock facing Zoro’s strength.
S-Shark attacks Edison as he’s giving the order to stop, but Sanji saves him. Then Edison managed to give the order and all Seraphim stop.
Luffy and Chopper are running around the “Labo” trying to find for the real Vegapunk, becouse he and
Bonney disappeared (we don’t see anything about real Vegapunk and Bonney in this chapter)

Although Lucci is unconscious, the Seraphim are still not holding back against the Straw Hats. But one Vegapunk variant was able to put an end to all this. And Luffy and Chopper are still unaware that Vegapunk has transported Bonny to her laboratory alongside himself.
Edward Weevil Making Headlines
Cut to Sphinx Island. It’s revealed that the Marines come to Sphinx Island while Marco was away in
Wanokuni. But Weevil arrived and protected the village. However, Weevill was captured by Ryokugyuu.
Now Marco is with Miss Bakkin. She asks Marco to bring back her son and to give her Shirohige’s inheritance.
Marco: “I appreciate you saving the village but…”
Miss Bakkin: “You doubt about my son’s lineage? Then just ask Vegapunk!!”

We see how Green Bull had done some work while running from Wano when he sensed Shanks Haki from far away. We also see Weevil for the first time as a good character who might be linked to Whiteboard, which Vegapunk can confirm.
One of The Five Elders revealed his identity.
Cut to the sea, to Kizaru’s ship.
Kizaru brings some snacks and drink to an old man in the ship. Before that, Marines tested the food to find if it was poisoned. Kizaru talks with that man.
Kizaru: “Have you ever met Vegapunk?”
Old man: “Yes, just once in the past…”
We discover that the old man is one member of the Gorousei (Five Elders). Specifically, he’s the one with a scar on the left side of his face and the gray dreadlocks. And we discover his name…

Saturn: “I regret that it has come to this!!”

This is quite possibly the headline of this chapter. We see how even a Gourosei (Five Elders) is now willing to come to Egghead Island, as things have gotten quite severe. We also discover his name, “Saturn”, which might be a word-play by Oda on planets or something else. And the surprising thing is that he has met Vegapunk before!
