The previous chapter of One Piece introduced the Strawhats to an old fella Bonney and the island of Marine scientist, Vegapunk. After a lot of problems created by the robots of Vegapunk, Strawhats safely landed on Egghead island where they met a mysterious girl claiming to be Vegapunk. The crew finds themselves attacked by a mechanized shark. To save Luffy, Chopper, and Bonney, who are still trapped in the water, Jinbe jumps in to save them. Despite Franky’s attempt to get the Thousand Sunny away, the shark uses torpedoes that send the ship underwater. Meanwhile SWORD members Helmeppo and Hibari unsuccessfully attempt to convince Prince Grus to allow them to use a Seraphim to rescue Koby from the Blackbeard Pirates.
As Bonney introduces herself and reveals they are at a Government island called Egghead, the rest of the Straw Hats are saved by a giant robot, piloted by a young girl claiming to be Dr. Vegapunk.

According to the early leaks, One Piece chapter 1062 is titled “Adventure in the Land of Science” and it begins with Bonney telling Strawhats about her past. She reveals that her father (Kuma) was made into a weapon by Vegapunk which came as a shock to others present there.
Besides, the real identity of Vegapunk is yet unclear as there are six different creations by the mad scientist claiming to be Vegapunk because of how occupied he is with research. In the end, it’s showcased that the CP0 agents are on their way to kill Vegapunk and they have Seraphim Kuma with them.

One Piece Chapter 1062 is scheduled to release on Sunday, October 9th. The release date can vary for some international readers due to differences in time zone but, it will be either the previous day or the next day of its initial release.
